We are selling a large building plot in the center of La Oliva

This plot is located in the village of La Oliva on Los Olivos Street. Situated right in the town center, it offers an unusually large area for the region.
With a size of 2,165 m², this plot offers something that is rare to find these days. The building plot can be developed with a maximum of 2,489 m². There is ample space for the construction of a large detached house with a garden and pool, or for a multi-family development. The plot can be subdivided accordingly.

The plot allows for the construction of up to two-story residential buildings with a buildable area of approximately 2,489 m², thus opening up diverse development possibilities. The location promises a peaceful residential setting!
Currently, there are not many urban building plots left in the north of the island, making this an excellent opportunity for investors to develop a construction project that promises a good return on investment.

Information about La Oliva

The well-maintained, clean-looking town of La Oliva, with its approximately 1,200 inhabitants, is surrounded by large, beautiful olive trees, hence its name. La Oliva is also the administrative center of one of Fuerteventura's six municipalities. As is typical throughout Fuerteventura, La Oliva is experiencing a construction boom, primarily with holiday homes and second residences.
La Oliva boasts numerous restaurants and shops, a hairdresser, a pharmacy, and even a swimming pool.

Just outside La Oliva, on the eastern edge of town, lies the "Casa de los Coroneles" (House of the Colonels). This fortress-like building is distinguished by its many windows and wooden balconies. Commissioned by the Cabrera Béthencourt family, it served as the residence of the island's highest-ranking commander until the 19th century.

Bus/Taxi

A large bus stop is available. Bus schedules can best be found in island magazines, or you can ask the bus driver.

History

La Oliva originated in the 17th century amidst numerous olive trees. In 1708, it became an important military base for a commander-in-chief who settled there. From 1835 to 1860, the town served as the capital of Fuerteventura.
